I was hoping the good reviews were accurate but unfortunately I don’t think I can finish my food. Unseasoned greasy chow mein, and fried foods that look like they were over dunked in batter and not shaken off before being fried. When more than half the piece of food you’re eating is just fried bread, you’re not really eating substance. Chicken smells old. I avoided this place for 15 years because “Chinese American” is rarely a successful venture and the outside looks very old. Given how few options we have around here I thought I’d finally try it, and sadly won’t be back again. Gordon Ramsay should work this place over...

Very delcious, honestly can gobble all they can cook. The family that works here is amazingly friendly and patient. And the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. Very satisfied customer! ^_^

The best Chinese restaurant in town! Be sure to get Mar Far Chicken. Huge portions, great service and we all walked away so happy!

A cool place. When you walk in the restaurant it is like time stood still. And we all like that.The food is YUMMY. Clean eating NO MSG added to the food. We enjoyed ourselves. GREAT SERVICE. They give you a lot of food. We will be frequenting Chans. ❤

Very good crispy fried noodles

Needs their parking lot cleaned up, plus the Windows and shutters could use some cleaning

I Ordered chicken chow mein, 99% celery barely any chicken. Called them and they said that’s the way it is. Celery is so cheap. Egg rolls same thing 99% cabbage. A$35 rip off if you ask me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

I go with my wife to this great spot often! This is the best place to have a bite. I go to this spot frequently. The meals are very good, the staff is helpful and the price is reasonable. I like going in this spot over a nice supper.

Honestly because I am currently on a diet, all I had was rice (lol and I'm on the carb free diet, but that was a slip up!) But their rice was REALLY GOOD , plus the two people I was with enjoyed their food tremendously so I can speak for myself and for them. Owners seemed extremely friendly as well 😁

Dont let the outward appearance of Chan's fool you, the food is excellent. The portions are big for how cheap they are and theres something on the menu for everyone. Give Chan's a try if you havnt already.

Love their house fried rice! The best in Humboldt if you ask me! Delicious!

I asked about the differences between the crispy and soft noodles for the chow mein, wanting to make sure that I got the "stereotypical" chow mein and they insisted it was the crispy noodles. I even asked again after they'd taken the order, and again they said it was the one I ordered. It wasn't. The taste of the item is good, but it's not what I wanted so I have no stomach for it. If they were that desperate for the $2 extra I would have been fine if they'd told me it was wrong and let them keep it; but they kept it up that this was the one I wanted. The orange chicken and pork fried rice is the only reason why they're not getting one star, they're really good. Really disappointed in their lack of honesty.
